Dweight David " Ike " Eisenhower was born October 14, 1890 in Denison, TX. He is buried in the Eisenhower presidential center in, Abilene, KS.
Dweight Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States and a five star general in the United States Army during world was two and he was the supreme commander of the allied forces during World War Two.
1915
Graduates from U.S. Millitary academy at West Point.
1916
Marries Mamie Doud on July 1.
1918
Takes command of the armored tank school.
1933
Becomes cheif of staff to general Douglas MacArthur.
1942
Appointed head of war plans devision.
1943
Becomes supreme commander of the allied forces in Europe.
1948
Assumes presidency at columbia university.
1950
Goes to Europe as Supreme Allied commander of the North Atlantic.
1952
Elected president of the United States.
