Earth's layers

In this presentation we will be talking about the Earth's layers. I will first talk about the core and find our way up.

The Core

Help! I'm in the core, the final layer of the Earth. It is a solid ball made of metal. The Inner Core is about 1250 km thick! How will I ever dig through? Although it is one of the smallest, it's very hot down here about 6000 degrees Celsius

Outer Core

Wow! It took a very long time but I made it through the inner core. Now I'm in the outer core. The Outer Core is the second to last layer of the Earth. It is very hot as I'm swimming through in fact it is 5000 degrees Celsius. I'm in this magma like liquid layer that surrounds the Inner Core. This creates Earth's magnetic field. In order to get out of here I have to swim 2200 km to get to the mantel.

The Mantle

Yay I made it though the burning liquid. Now I'm in the Mantle. The second layer of the Earth. The Mantle is about 2900 km thick. The Mantle takes up 84 percent of the Earth. So I'm not even half way through digging :(. The top part of the mantle is a cold dense rock. It is cooling down, but 3000 degrees Celsius is still very hot!

The Crust

After fifth teen years of digging I made it to the top of the crust. The crust was 60 km thick (piece of cake).
In the inside the the crust is about 200 degrees Celsius. It is the first layer. Now I'm at an interview because everyone want to know my journey.
