SEA OF JAPAN
A marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean, between the Asian mainland,
and the Japanese archipelago and Sakhalin.
It is bordered by Japan, North Korea, Russia and South Korea.
It has almost no tides due to its nearly complete enclosure from the Pacific Ocean.
The sea has no large islands, bays or capes.

TAIWAN
It is officially the Republic of China.
The East China Sea lies to the north, the Philippine Sea to the east.
The Bashi Channel of the Luzon Strait directly to the south, and the South China Sea to the southwest.
All are arms of the Pacific Ocean.
The shape of the main island of Taiwan is similar to a sweet potato.

KUNLUN MOUNTAINS
They are one of the longest mountain chains in Asia.
They form the northern edge of the Tibetan Plateau.
Kunlun means the mountain belt that runs across the center of China.
The source of the Yellow River.

PLATEAU OF TIBET
It is a vast, elevated plateau in Central Asia.
It stretches approximately 1,000 kilometres north to south.
The Tibetan Plateau is sometimes called "the Roof of the World".
The Tibetan Plateau is the headwaters of the drainage basins of most of the streams.

KOREA STRAIT
The Korea Strait is a sea passage between Japan and South Korea.
It connects the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan in the northwest Pacific Ocean.
The strait is split by the Tsushima Island.
To the north it is bounded by the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula.
7.
HUANG HE (YELLOW RIVER)
It is the second-longest river in Asia.
It empties into the Bohai Sea.
It drains into Gyaring Lake and Ngoring Lake.
It flows generally eastward across the North China Plain.
