WHERE THEY LIVED

  • The Haudenosaunee lived in The Eastern Woodlands.
  • In the Eastern of third part of the United States is the Woodlands.
  • The Woodlands stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes.

HOW THEY LIVED

  • The Haudenosaunee people built houses without walls because of the warm climates
  • They were built from wood poles and bark

JOBS

  • Some Indians hunted deer, bears, and rabbits
  • Other woodland Indians were farmers
  • Now the Haudenosaunee people have jobs in factory work, health care and teaching

FOOD

  • They ate squash,corn,and beans.Witch is known as the three sisters.
  • They found region plants and rice.
  • They made syrup from maple trees.

  • There are at least 25 clans in the Eastern Woodlands
  • The Hiawatha helped the 5 nations unite
  • The wampum was used to symbolize agreements
