  • Depending on the geomotry of the Sun, Moon, and Earth, there can can be between 2 and 5 solar eclipses each year.

TIDES FACTS

  • The sun's gravitational force on the force is only 46 percent that of the moon.
  • Spring tides and neap tides level are about 20% higher or lower than average.

ANSWER

  • If there is a solar eclpise then the day tide will be higher the night tide because the moon is closer to the day part of the earth than the night part.
  • So Yes, the moon does affect tides.
