An area made of living and non living things that interact with each other.
Often categorized by climate and condition of soil.
In an ecosystem, each animal has its own niche, or role to play.

Micro: pond, puddle, tree trunk, under a rock, etc.
Messo: forests or large lake
Biome: rain forest with all of its features

All living things need energy to grow and to live right?
Describes the way that different organisms eat each other
Example: grass----->zebra---->lion

Plants are producers
Animals are consumers

Herbivores- animals that only eat plants
Carnivore- animals that only eat other animals
Omnivores- animals that eat both plants and other animals

Bacteria and fungi are decomposers
Eat decaying matter and dead plants
After the decomposes decompose themselves,
they turn into nutrients for the soil (fertilizer).
