SPECIALIST

  • Someone who thrives at an environmental concept
  • As you can see in the picture, the man is planting flowers, he called be called a specialist because he excels at planting them.

GENERALIST

  • Thriving in an environmental conditions and use different resources
  • In the picture the Koala is hiding in the tree, using it as a resource for being a home and safe place.

CONFORMER

  • Any organism who is highly influenced by external factors
  • Fish are using gills to help breathe under water, which is an external factor

REGULATOR

  • Any organism that can maintain a constant internal environment
  • The polar bear uses its fur to keep warm in its internal enviro

MUTULISM

  • Two different organisms that benifit off each other
  • The bee is pollinating the flowers

PARASITISM

  • The parasite benefits from the other species
  • Here the parasite (Larva) is benefiting from the spider

COMMENSALISM

  • Organism benifits from another without affecting it
  • Fish benefit from hiding in coral for protection, benifiting the fish and not affecting the coral

PREDATION

  • Predator feeds on pray
  • The lion is the predator, its feeding on its prey which is predation

COMPETITION

  • When two animals fight for something, it could be food or a mate.
  • The two animals are fighting for food, this could be considered a competition
