  • There IS soil to begin the process

THE PROCESS

  • Rock to lichen to soil
  • To grass to trees
  • To Insects to small animals to large animals
  • To a happy ecosystem!

  • Characteristics that help animals survive
  • Ex. Thorny Devil
  • (Has thorns to defend itself)
  • Ex. Arctic Fox
  • (Has bushy tail to help keep itself warm at night)

  • Ex. Palm tress/coconut trees
  • (Grows near water to absorb it)
  • Ex. Bamboo
  • (Grows really fast and tall to get as much sun and rain)
