FLAG

  • The flag of Ecuador represents many things
  • Red represents the blood that was shed for their freedom
  • Blue represents the abundance of sky and water in Ecuador
  • And yellow which is double the size of the other two represents the fertility of the land and its resources.

ECUADORIAN CITIZENS

  • Ecuadorian women often are seen wearing a white blouse and a blue skirt.
  • Most men are seen wearing a poncho with a hat on top.
  • Ecuador's average life expectancy is 76 yrs old.
  • Most citizens speak "Dat Nish" a.k.a Spanish as there dominant language

DAILY LIFE

  • Soccer is the official national past time of the country.
  • The main job in Ecuador is in the agricultural business
  • In big towns many markets will be set up on sides of busy roads and walkways
  • Small towns are not expected to have a very good infrastructure as most have dirt roads and poor quality housing conditions.

GALAPAGOS ISLANDA

  • 97% of the islands are considered to be a national park
  • Charles Darwin the creator of The Theory of Evolution got most of his research from wildlife on the Galapagos Islands
  • The Galapagos Island is also known as home to many different endangered animals.

WEATHER IN ECUADOR

  • Ecuador is a very tropical climate typed country
  • Has on two seasons dry and wet
  • Average temperatures across all of Ecuador is about 64 degrees
  • Temperature does change based on the elevation.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

  • The main tourist attraction is easily The Swing At The End Of The World
  • Many people also come to see the volcanoes and mountains that the land has to offer.

FOODS OF ECUADOR

  • Ecuador is full of many diverse foods
  • Many or all of the meals are eaten with plantains
  • Most bananas found in stores are probably from Ecuador
  • Ecuador has many exotic fruits such as the Prickly Pear, the Star Fruit, or even Rambutan.
