• As you can probably guess, the most popular sport in Egypt is football
• Egypt’s national sporting hero is Mo Salah who was even voted for in the election even though he wasn’t a candidate

• The president of Egypt is Abdul Fattah el-Sisi
• The main parties in Egypt are, Free Egyptian Party, and the Egyptian Social and Democratic Party

HITORY OF EGYPT

• Egypt was founded in 3150 BC by King Menes
• Egypt is known for its great pyramids, hieroglyphics and its pharoahs
• Egypt’s pyramids were actually built by paid labourers
• A very famous example of a great pharaoh is Tutankhamen.

TOURISM IN EGYPT

• Tourism is one of the main sources of revenue for Egypt’s economy
• Recently, Egypt’s tourism figures have been depleting due to the threat of terrorism and war in bordering countries

CULTURE IN EGYPT

• The main religion in Egypt is Muslim however, 10 percent of the population is made up of Christians
