NILE RIVER FACTS
The Nile River has a flooding cycle that has provided a seasonal rhythm.
The flooding cycle has determined a planting season for farmers.
Upper Egypt is in the south and Lower Egypt is in the north.
Egypt has three seasons named Akhet, Peret, and Shemu.
Average rainfall in present-day Egypt is about the same as it was in Ancient Egypt.
