  • In Ancient Egypt religion, Tefnut is described as the goddess of rain, water and moisture.

SYMBOLS

  • "Head of Lioness"
  • Tefnut had the body of a woman and the head of a lioness or lion.
  • Therefore, she was a female.

FATHER, MOTHER, CHILDREN

  • Tefnut was the wife and sister of Shu.
  • She is the daughter of the god, Atum.
  • She is the mother of Nut and Geb.

MYTHS/STORIES

  • One myth was that Tefnut went off to marry Thoth, the scribe of the underworld.
