• Gods lived in temples built by ancient Egyptians to honor them.
• There were gods for nearly everything.

• Many gods were blended with human and animal forms.
• Animals were chosen to represent the powers of the god.
• Some examples of gods with heads:
• Horus had the head of a hawk.
• Bastet had the head of a cat.

IMPORTANT GODS

• Their were four main gods:
• Ra was the sun god
• Osiris was the god of the underworld
• Isis was the goddess of magic
• Horus was the god of the sky.

• Hapy was also an important god to the Egyptians because he brought the flood.
• The Egyptian god Nun existed before on Earth before land did.
