PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Music Education - earned my B.M. from Colorado State in 2012
  • Literacy
  • Tutoring - joined Lindamood-Bell as a summer job and discovered a passion for literacy
  • AmeriCorps - worked with the Colorado Reading Corps for 2 years
  • Reading Partners - Reading Center Coordinator since 2015 managing a reading center in an at-risk Denver elementary school

WHY THIS COURSE?

  • Learn key components of management
  • Harness skills and apply to a leadership mindset
  • Combine leadership and managerial skills
  • Learn management in an educational organization setting

GOALS

  • Obtain a managerial position within Reading Partners
  • Return to a school at some point in a coaching position
  • Work in continued adult education within a company or nonprofit (my current position involves coaching adults in working with kids, and I love it!)

AVAILABILITY

  • I reside in Colorado, so I function in MST!
  • Work schedule typically 8-4 + commute time of about 30 minutes
  • Special events - my organization frequently hosts evening social gatherings for our volunteers, monthly board meetings, and fundraisers
