The Common Core State Standards are to be implemented and addressed across the curricula. Cheryl Dunkle, in her text, Leading the Common Core State Standards: From Common Sense to Common Practice (2012) gives a closer look into the CCSS in ELA, she states “They (CCSS) outline a vision for student literacy across all subject areas” (p.38).
