PROM

  • Pt. Is seated in chair
  • PT/PTA provides full support of limb
  • PT/PTA moves forearm through full ROM
  • PT/PTA will hold for a count at end range
  • Repeat 10x, no contraction by pt.

  • Pt places R hand in band loop
  • Pt relaxes R arm at side with palm up
  • Pt pulls band toward chest with L hand
  • Hold for 3 seconds
  • Return to starting position

AAROM

AROM GRAVITY-ELIMINATED

  • Pt. lies on L side with R arm against trunk
  • Pt. Brings hand to shoulder
  • Hold 3 sec.
  • Return to starting position
  • Repeat 10x

AROM GRAVITY-ELIMINATED

AROM ANTI-GRAVITY

  • Pt. Stands with R arm at side, palm up
  • Pt. Brings hand to shoulder
  • Hold 3 seconds
  • Return to starting position
  • Repeat 10x

AROM ANTI-GRAVITY

ISOMETRIC

  • With weight in hand and elbow at 90 degrees
  • Hold for 5 seconds at 90 degrees
  • Return to starting position
  • Repeat 10x

ISOMETRIC

ISOTONIC

  • Pt. Stands with R arm at side, palm up, weight in hand
  • Pt. Brings weight to shoulder
  • Hold for 3 seconds
  • Slowly lower to starting position
  • Repeat 10x
