PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Electrochemistry
the study of chemical processes that cause electrons to move. This movement of electrons is called electricity, which can be generated by movements of electrons from one element to another in a reaction known as an oxidation reduction

The flow of electrons gives the battery the charge and allows it to give the object its running life.

The opposing charges allow the flow of electrons, the battery acid begins to eat away at the metal inside the battery thus begins the activation of the energy

Oxidation reduction is the movement of electrons called electricity, which can be generated by movements of electrons from one element to another in a reaction, relating to a battery by doing so when the positive and negative ends attract and begin the flow of the electrons

Corrosion: is a natural process, which converts a refined metal to a more stable form. It is the destruction of metals by chemical reaction with their environment. Corrosion can block the charge from the battery to the system if there is to much. The corrosion gets in the way of the terminals and the power won't go through, in order to fix the corrosion on your terminals you need to clean them. In reference to metals, they corrode mainly because we use them in environments where they are chemically unstable. Mostly just copper and the precious metals are found in nature in their metallic state.

Electrolysis: chemical decomposition produced by passing an electric current through a liquid or solution containing ions.

Example (1): electrolysis is often used to break down compounds that are stable, for example if you are trying to use aluminum oxide, which is s very hard stable compound, you would have to do methods of electrolysis in order to manipulate this compound.

Example (2): The most know use of electrolysis arguably is hair removal. This type of electrolysis is used for personal purposes. It works by destroying the hair follicle producing the unwanted strand of hair, remains today as the most accurate and permanent way to get rid of small amounts of hair
