• It is that division of EW whose action is to reduce enemy uses electromagnetic spectrum
• (ECM) involve the use of the electromagnetic
• EA/ECM operation can be detected by an adversary due to their active transmission
• Many modern EA/ECM techniques are considered to be highly classfied
• Examble of EA INCLUDE COMMUNICATIONS JAMMING (flares and chaff)

ELECTRONIC COUNTER COUNTER MEASURES

• It is effective use of electromagnetic spectrum despite an enemy use of ECM
• It's taken to protect personnel,facilities,and equipment from any effects of friend or enemy use of electromagnetic spectrum
• It should not be confused with self-protection (jamming)
• The use of flare rejection logic on an IR MISSILE TO COUNTER AN ADVERSARY USE OF FLARES IS EP
• Example of EP IS THE STEALTH TECHNOLOGY
