  • An element is an component an if two elements combine it is a compound
  • These elements are apart of the periodic table
  • Elements are in everything

MIXTURES

  • A mixture is a combonation of two or more substances but dont make new ones
  • Ex:salad
  • Mixtures are divided up into two categories
  • Heterogeneous: not uniform throughout components can be seen
  • Homgeneous: uniforms throughout a substance mxed well enough so we cant see each component

  • Are the combonation of two or more elements but doesnt change mixture
  • With compounds the amount of substances can change
  • Compounds are everywhere
