Elizabeth believed that women should have the right to divorce their husbands if they were alcoholics. Also if they beat their wives while under the use of alcohol.
So Elizabeth Cady Stanton was the first women to have a convention about women's rights. So that they can have a say in everything men have a say in. 👧👧
What this idea did!!!!!!
This idea made it so women almost had enough rights as men. What I mean is that women could divorce their drunken husbands. But women still couldn't vote that wouldn't happen for at least 40 or 50 years.
