WHO: Elizabeth Cady Stanton was a leader of the women's rights movement, writing the Declaration of Sentiments as a call to female arms for female equality.
WHAT: Elizabeth concentrated on abolishing slavery, then she became outspoken in promoting women sufferage.
WHO: Elizabeth lived in Johnstown, NY. In 1868 Shute worked with Susan B. Anthony on Revolution, a
militant weekly paper.
WHEN: Stanton was born on November 12,1815 and died on October 26,1902. On 1869 Stanton founded the National Women's Rights Suffrage Association and served as it's president for 21 years.
WHY: With Susan B. Anthony, Stanton edited and wrote much of the Revolution, a weekly paper devoted to women's rights because she wanted women rights.
