  • An example would be a teenager losing respect
  • The parents of teenagers also have faults

  • Argue any problem to practice
  • An example would be arguing over little things like shoes

  • Aware of many choices
  • Have trouble making easy decision
  • Such as deciding to get a drink at a restaurant

APPARENT HYPOCRISY

  • Adolescence have difficulty understanding ideals
  • Have difficulty living up to ideals
  • An example would be the ideal of being a perfect child
  • To have perfect grades and act appropriately in every situation

SELF- CONSCIOUSNESS

  • Adolescents assume everyone os thinking about them
  • Become aware of imperfections
  • An example would be why people are embarrassed to wear certain clothes
  • Another example would be why people hide their imperfections

INVULNERABILITY

  • Adolescents begin to feel special
  • Their experiences are unique
  • Are not subject to same rules as everybody else
  • Causes risk-taking and self-destructive behavior
  • And example would be underage drinking.
