  • Urbanization
  • Factories emerged
  • New workforce of people now- that not everyone had to farm
  • Before this only two main classes...

  • Aristocrats who were born into wealth
  • Lower class who were born into the workforce
  • But then...........................................................
  • An Industrial Revolution!

"WHITE COLLAR" JOBS

  • Shopkeepers
  • Business people
  • Bank clerks
  • Merchants
  • Teachers

PEOPLE NO LONGER HAD TO FARM...

  • There were farmers,but not everybody had to farm
  • People were able to pursue other jobs
  • They could work in a factory...
  • They could work in "White Collar" jobs
  • They could be paid monthly or yearly wages rather than salaries

FAMILY LIFE

  • Steady income
  • Affordable education
  • Children more of an economic burden
  • Better health care
  • Fewer children

  • The world changed
  • A new class of people emerged
  • White Collar
  • They can buy food and cloths rather than producing it
  • New jobs
