STAY CALM

• Scents, deep breathing, breathing
• Look at your surroundings
• Become familiar with the place and the
• test you are taking.

BE CAREFUL

• Spell carefully
• Bubble carefully
• Read carefully

VERBAL REASONING

• Work quickly through the synonym section.
• Is the word positive, negative, or contradictory.
• PUNCTUATION!!! Pay attention to it!
• Plug-in, look at the words left after process of elimination
• or look at the sentence around the word there may be hints.

MATH STRATEGIES

• Estimate, round, and find the closest.
• Write down your calculations.
• Draw pictures instead of words.
• Go back and check your work.
• Don't stay on problem too long.

READING COMPREHENSION

• Concentrate
• Act like the passage or fool yourself that it
• is the most interesting thing in the world.
• Underline, box in, and write on the passage.
• Visualize what is happening.

ESSAY

• Four topics: person, place, event, science.
• Personal story, experience, accomplishments, goals.
• Homonyms and homophones. They are confusing in writing.
• Be positive!!!!!!
