• Unlike other empires he built his empire completely from scratch
• Muslims in the Ottoman Empire would have to serve in the army
• If you were not Muslim though you would have to pay a small tax
• When the Ottomans would take a city they would often improve it then destroying it

• Had a strict government killing corrupt officials and promoting loyalty

• They tried so hard that they put Europeans as officails

• Started from a 11 year old boy named Babur
• He was casted away but later bulit a army to retake his land
• Put local people as officers so they can absorb armies
• Had high religious tolerance
• Babur was so tolerant of other religions he married a hindu woman

• The building the Taj Mahal brought suffering to the people
• Later in Mughal history religious oppression started
