ENCELADUS ORBIT

  • Enceladus is 238,000 km away from Saturn
  • Also Enceladus is the closest moon to Saturn's E-ring
  • Also Enceladus would orbit within the E-ring and that's when it's at its most density
  • Also Enceladus orbit ring is almost exactly a circle

ENCELADUS HEAT SOURCE

  • Enceladus heat source comes from the southern pole
  • Heat on Enceladus is made up by radiation.
  • And there's 15 giga wats located in the southern pole/discovered in 2011
  • There is three geysers located on the south pole were plumes of water are spewed out
  • Also nicknamed the tiger stripes

ENCELADUS TIGER STRIPES

  • So the tiger stripes are basically geysers
  • - radiation heating
  • - heat waves
  • - surface vents
  • - chamber

ENCELADUS NAME

  • Enceladus was a Greek god who was the son of Gaia/earth
  • Also Enceladus fought in a war and got killed by Athena
