WHAT ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES
Endangered species are species of animals that are at risk of extinction.
Black footed ferrets are an example of endangered species.
Only 2% of the original race is occupied in the world.
That means that only 500 black footed ferrets exist on Earth.
Black footed ferrets are usually 18-24 inches long and weighs up to 2.5 lbs and live for 2-3 years.

WHERE DO BLACK FOOTED FERRETS LIVE?
Black footed ferrets live from southern Canada to Northern Mexico.
They follow where the prairie dogs go since 90% of their diet is based on them.
In the wild, black footed ferrets live in prairie dog colonies.
Black footed ferrets live in prairie grassland biomes.
4.
WHOM DOES THE BLACK FOOTED FERRET AFFECT?
Black footed ferrets affect the prairie dogs' population.
This is because the prairie dogs are their main source of food.
Black footed ferrets don't really affect the human race because their population is very small.
5.
WHEN ARE BLACK FOOTED FERRETS ACTIVE?
Prarie dogs are nocturnal animals, so they come out in the night.
However, there were many times when they came out in the daylight too.
6.
HOW AND WHY WERE BLACK FOOTED FERRETS ENDANGERED?
Black footed ferrets are very sensitive to plagues so they easily die from them.
Also, they are eaten by Great Horned owls, golden eagles, badgers, bobcats, hawks, rattlesnakes, and coyotes.
