ENERGY OF ECOSYSTEM

PRODUCERS

• Plants and algae are called producers
• They use energy from sunlight to make their own food
• This food gives them the energy they need to live and grew

CONSUMERS

• Animals and some other organisms cannot produce their own food
• They get their food from eating other organisms
• Cows get energy by eating grass

PHOTOSYNTHESIS

• Bring energy into an ecosystem
• The plant then uses the sugars for food
• In photosynthesis the plant makes sugar

HERBIVORES

• An herdivores is a consumer that gets its energy from eating plants
• It is getting energy from the plants
• It gets from the plant that is live and grewing

CARNIVORES

• Carnivores eat other animals
• It gets it energy from eating other animals
• They eat the remains of animals that have died

OMNIVORES

• Consumers that eat both plants and animals
• Omnivores eat grasses,nuts,and,berries
• Black bears also eat insects,fish,and rabbits

DECOMPOSERS

• Decomposers are living thing that break down
• Energy also moves through decomposer
• One example of a decomposer is mole

FOOD CHAIN

• A food chain is one living thing to another
• Every living needs energy to survive
• Some living thing gets energy
