PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Nuclear energy can be released by large nuclei with many protons and neutrons being split into two or more smaller nuclei. This process is called fission.
Nuclear energy is also released when smaller nuclei are smashed together. This process is called fusion.
Nuclear energy is used to produce power and as research purposes. It can also be used to produce bombs with great destructive power.
Mass energy has the largest potential source of energy.
Mass energy comes from converting an atom's mass into energy.
Matter is stable so it is unlikely we can create a lot of energy through mass energy.
