Katniss and her family

  • For Katniss is the family very important
  • She takes care and attention to her family and friends
  • Her friend play a big role in her life and without him she had some troubles
  • Her relationship is based on interpersonal trust
  • Katniss got a little Sister named Prim

Peeta Mellark

  • He is 16 years old and the victor of the 74th and 75th Hunger Games
  • He is based in District 12 like Primrose and Katniss Everdeen
  • He is very strong and use a Knive as his weapon
  • He has been in love with Katniss since the age of 5
  • He and Katniss play a romance in the arena to get sponsors and manage to both to become victors by tricking the Gamemakers.
  • He and Katniss felt in love together and they have two children

Primrose Everdeen (Prim)

  • She is the little sister of Katniss
  • Prim was choosen for the Hunger Games and out of this reason Katniss joined voluntarily the Hunger Games
  • She is 12 years old and is very adorable
  • She has a Cat called Butterblume and she loves her cat very much and takes care of it

Lorel Everdeen

  • She is 44 years and is based in District 12
  • She is the mother of Katniss and Primrose Everdeen
  • After the Storm of the Districts she moved to District 4.
  • She was born in the Hunger Games
  • Mrs. Everdeen had in her young years a very clear mind and was very known about plants and physics

Mr. Everdeen

  • The father from Katniss and Prim died in District 12 while he was working in a mine
  • Katniss was at his death 11 years old
  • The Lift for the workers in the mine exploded because of a failure with dynamite
  • Katniss waited at the top of the mine but her dad never came out

Adolescene

  • Katniss starts the book with little awareness of sexuality, caring little about being physically attractive but through the book you can see her awakeing.

Friendship and Love

  • In the relationship of Katniss and Rue we can see love and friendship. In the relationship of Katniss and Peeta its the same although there are so brutal things that happen and the temporary nature of such alliances.
  • Without the love to her sister Katniss never would join the Hunger Games voluntarily.

Perseverance

  • Without the perseverance present, Katniss, her sister, and many others would have died very early. In the Hunger Games, this trait is very important to not lose immediately.

Respect

  • Respect is an important value then build friendships and familiar relationships and without respect one would blindly approach a thing and often lose. In addition, respect for nature is very important because the Hunger Games show what kind of power nature can have.
  • Katniss respects the other member of her District and out of this reason she gets respect from other people
