ENGLISH @AOL

OBJETIVES

• Improve English pronunciation of AOL students
• Help with proper English elaboration of words and sounds
• Using multiple translators and or teachers
• We will be able to assist those having problems with pronunciation

ACTIVITIES

• 2 days a week, ideally 4 days a week if it receives good feedback
• Arrange a sign up system
• Find volunteers to facilitate the program
• Talk with school ambassadors about community knowledge of possible program and pilot start date
• Will meet one on one and also offer small group sessions with three to five people

ACTIVITIES

• One hour sessions group to be held in classroom 10 between 2-3 pm
• One on one sessions held outside the Career Services office
• Sessions will consist of working with differences between letter sounds and proper usage and understanding

OUTPUTS

• Only career college that offers an English pronunciation workshop
• Students services will house the signup sheets
• One facilitator will be used
• Information packages will be located at the front desk
• Also inserted into every "new student" welcome package

This program will assist both students of AOL as well as any staff member wishing to utilize it

OUTCOMES/IMPACTS

• Build overall confidence of everyone using the program
• As well as the future of the school's student body
• Increase students flow into the school by offering a free service
• Better focus on success in the work force for participants future
• Possibility of a franchise wide program as well as being able to implement on an educational scale city wide
