One day at school, Samantha and Becka were talking in the hallway about Lisa. Becka was gossiping about how Lisa is a bad friend and saying mean stuff about her to Sam. Sam listened to some of the things Becka would say about Lisa and question a few of the things she had said about her. One of the things Becka had said about Lisa really stuck to her and made her mad about what she just found out. Becka told Sam that Lisa was cheating during her history test.
Later during the day, Becka went up to Lisa and once again began to gossip about the other friend, this time it was Sam. Becka had told Lisa almost the same thing Sam had heard earlier that day by the lockers. Lisa was good friends with Sam and knew that something was not true here. Lisa decided to confront Sam about the information she had just heard.
Later that day, Lisa caught up with Sam after last class and began to talk to her. Lisa told Sam that she was talking to Becka earlier, and Sam said she was talking to her as well. Lisa asked Sam if she cheated on her History test the other day, and she replied in shock with a loud “NO!” Sam told Lisa that Becka had said the same thing about her earlier this week. The moral of this story is to never fully believe someone’s word about another person until you confront them and know for sure.
