ERIC'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS FAMILY

• Not a strong relationship with his mother. this is show by the fact that his mum didnt know that he drinks to much
• His relationship with his sister is weak but futher throught the play they become more like siblings and they both take responsibility for what they did to Eva
• His relationship with his farther is weak this is shown when eric says ''You`re not the kind of farther a chap could go to when hes in trouble''

Eric shows immaturity because he is always getting drunk and he says to Gerald and sheila ''steady the buffs'' also he doesn't think about what he does or says he just does them and doesn't really care.

Eric is selfish at the beginning of the play because he doesn't take others feeling into consideration which in the play his actions show but by the end of the play he becomes more considerate and selfless and takes more responsibility for the thing that he say and does

Eric learns a lot in the play like each part his family plays in the death of Eva Smith and his unborn child and that his mother is responsible for the death of her unborn grandchild and that his mother was the last push to Eva's death.

Eric's language within the play is very childlike and immature this is shown by ''suddenly i felt i just had to laugh'' this also shows he is socially awkward. Also in the play Eric is shown as very play full and enjoys tormenting people this is shown when he says 'shes got a nasty temper sometimes- but she's not bad really. good old sheila.''

Jodie: I think Eric is young and immature because he is usually drunk and doesn't act his age within the play.

Olivia: I think Eric lacks common sense with in the play he try's to say things but later stops himself because he is drunk when he thinks of them.

Yasmine: I think that Eric is an irresponsible , drunken young man who cant keep it in his pants.he is also a thief as he stole money from his own father who might have deserved it because he's really greedy but that's beyond the point , at the end of the day Eric needs to gain some responsibility and man up
