COMPLEX SENTENCES
- Consists of one main or independent clause
- The main clause can stand alone as a simple sentnce but the subordinate can not stand alone as a sentence
- Sentences will be joined by:
- After,Although,Because,Before,Whereas,As
COMPOUND SENTENCE:
- Made up on one or more simple sentence
- It is joined by a comma(,) and a conjunction
- And,But,For,Not,Or,So,Yet
- They can also be joined by:
- Semicolon(;) and Colon(:)
SIMPLE SENTENCE
- One independent Clause
- It has one subject and one verb
