  • To become an environmental lawyer you must have the capacity in handling the difficulty legal procedures
  • You must be able to represent different group of clients in all manner of civil case suits
  • You must be able to interview the witnesses before and after the court trials and hearings
  • You must be able to act as both the legal speaker as well as the legal advisors in order to solve the environmental problem
  • Must have the ability in drafting the regulatory applications

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • It is necessary to get four year graduation in any discipline from any government for bachelors degree
  • It is necessary to appear for the Law School Admission in order to apply for a law university
  • It is required to pass the written state bar exam, which includes multi state bar exam and written ethics examination
  • After completing the state bar exam, you get a membership and license to practice law in the law court of any state
  • The environmental lawyer deals with air pollution,water contamination, chemical and nuclear wastes, and oil spill.

JOB/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide legal procedures that are based on the environmental issues
  • Represents clients on the wide range of issues like land use concerns,waste disposal or agricultural use
  • Represents clients in courts and argue the cases related with the environmental issues
  • Gives an extreme powerful advice on the environmental managements systems to their clients

  • A lawyer in any kind of practice works for 50 to 80 hours a week.

SALARY

  • A lawyer wins up to $62.23 an hour
  • Wins up to $45,000 to $150,000 a week
  • The average is $118,000
