PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The horses shoe is filed and shaved down to an appropriate level so the horse can have balance, and nails cannot be seen poking out too far.
This horse has good horse shoeing because you can see that there is no discomfort and you can see the nails poking out the sides of the hoofs.
Although the Ferrier has not yet nailed the shoe in, the shoe is correctly shaped to the horse.
Corrected horse shoe filling!
See how the horses hoof is no longer curved? That is because the Ferrier filed the hoof down, and put a correct horse shoe on it; providing stability and support.
This horse is suffering from bad treatment, therefore, it's hoof is now growing towards the side.
This horse is affected by the white line disease. It's an anaerobic bacteria and fungus that feed on the keratin that bonds the inner and outer hoof wall together.
To treat it, you have to buy the right infection killer for the hoof or it might tear the hoof tissue off.
You see how this hoof just looks dry and flaky? Well, it isn't. White line disease can trick you into thinking your horse has a dry hoof.
This hoof, what's been happening to it is that it has been flaring. Flaring is when your horse is barefoot, the hoof starts to break down and chip. You need to get the horse fitted for a shoe asap.
This horses shoes have been nailed in wrong, causing the shoe to crack when the horse runs. The way to fix this is to call a different Ferrier and get a different shoe
