PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WEATHERING AND EROSION

BY, BRANDON TRENT AND JARRETT TAYLOR

MECHANICAL WEATHERING

  • Shown by he paint chipping and changing the bars shape
  • MW is when an object changes shape due to weathering

MECHANICAL WEATHERING

THIS SHOWS MECHANICAL WEATHERING BECAUSE PART OF THE ROCK HAS BEEN ERODED AWAY

CHEMICAL WEATHERING

  • Shown from the pole leaving rust streaks on the ground
  • Rust is a chemical change from the pole
  • CW is a chemical change from one substance to another

CHEMICAL WEATHERING

THIS SHOWS CHEMICAL WEATHERING BECAUSE THE POLE AS RUST ON IT FROM RAIN.

WATER EROSION

  • Shown by the bottom of the pipe being curved
  • WE is when a substance is moved from constant water movement

WATER EROSION

THIS SHOWS WATER EROSION WHERE THE WATER CARRIED THE LAND AWAY.

WIND EROSION

  • Shown by the leaf being moved off the tree
  • Is more common with seeds being blown around to spread the population.
  • WE is the movement of an object from one place to another due to wind.

WIND EROSION

THE ROCK HAS BEEN SLOWLY ERODED BY WIND TO CREATE THE CURVES IN THE ROCK.

GLACIAL EROSION

  • Shown by the path created by movement from a glacier or heavy amounts of snow
  • GE is the erosion of an area by a glacier.

GLACIAL EROSION

THIS VALLEY LOOKING AREA WAS FORMED DUE TO THE HEAVY AMOUNTS OF SNOW.
