EROSION

  • Erosion is the act or state of eroding
  • Weathering is the various mechanical and chemical processes that causes exposed rock to decompose

WATER EROSION

  • One type of erosion is water erosion.
  • In this picture it shows the Grand Canyon.Did you know the Grand Canyon was eroded?
  • The Grand Canyon has it's shape because water erosion,the water made the flat land softer, and softer over time so the rock broke apart.

WIND EROSION

  • Wind erosion is where the wind is so powerful that it can break the rocks apart, and then it creates a weird shape in the rock.

GLACIER EROSION

  • This is a type of erosion where the ice is too heavy for the mountain so it breaks it up, and it makes the glacier mountains we see today.

  • Soil erosion is where the soil moves really fast so it is powerful enough to form the land and remove parts of the land from the ground.
