God's Creativity & Provision -
* over 3,000 varieties to date
* plant oils have been used throughout the world for thousands of years for physical, mental and emotional remedy
Essential oils contain small organic molecules that tend to change quickly from solid or liquid state to a gas at room temperature
The physical and chemical properties of the compounds within essential oils allow them to quickly move through the air and directly interact with the olfactory sensors in the nose
Diffusion is one of the simplest methods for obtaining the aromatic benefits of essential oils
Essential oils are quickly absorbed by smell receptors, which have a direct link to our limbic system
Limbic System - part of brain that supports functions including smell, emotions, behavior, and memory
The sense of smell evokes powerful physiologic, mental, and emotional responses unlike any of our
other senses
Through our sense of smell, essential oils help maintain a healthy mind and body. The type of compound present in a particular essential oil determines both the oil's aroma and its health benefit
* mental health benefits- uplifting; calming; energizing
* physical health benefits-
headaches; digestion; acne; allergies
Serenity - peaceful blend of lavender and chamomile that supports restful sleep
Wild Orange - bright & energizing; cleansing; supports digestive system
Essential oils can be used alone or in combination with other oils in a complex blend, depending on the desired benefit
Essential oils are extracted from plants usually through the use of steam distillation or cold pressing
The manufacture of essential oils is process-intensive. It takes over 150 oranges to make just one small, 15ml bottle of wild orange essential oil
An oil's composition and quality can also vary just depending upon the time of day or season when a plant is harvested, the plant's geographic location or the year and weather
in which it is grown
