Gallant
Voting in 1872 at a New York polling place
Well back in1872 it was illegal for women to vote. If they voted they could be jailed. Susan was not afraid to be jailed just for voting
She voted even though Women didn't have the legal right to vote. And after she voted for Ulysses Grant she was jailed for voting.
Determined
She read the Women's constitution at the 100th anniversary for founding America.
Well just before the 100th anniversary for America started, she asked the people in charge if she could read the Women's constitution.
And they said no to Susan. Susan was determined to read it so after the constitution was read, she read the Woman's constitution.
She read the Women's constitution even though the people in charge of the event said she wasn't allowed to.
A Leader
Susan and Elizabeth started the NWSA and Susan gave speeches and lead marches
She lead marches that made people notice that, how badly they wanted suffrage.
And she made speeches that made women look inhuman. To show that without their suffrage they couldn't be human.
Just because the definition of citizen was male. And she made speeches that motivated the NWSA to work harder, and she led the NWSA towards their suffrage.
