HOUSE ETIQUTTE

• You must remove your shoes and wear slippers the host provides.
• You also remove the slippers when on a tatami floor
• When in a wash room you also change into a different pair

TABLE MANNERS

• Before eating you say "itadakimasu" ("I gratefully receive")
• When you're done you say "gochisosama " ("Thank you for the meal")
• You eat your food with chopsticks unless it's western style food
• Try to avoid blowing your nose
• Refrain from burping
