Athens, Greece: the Parthenon was used as a temple in ancient Greece dedicated to Athena

Rome, Italy: the colosseum was used as an area for gladiators to battle or a celebration theatre

CENTRAL

The Residential Diversity

Germany: these houses represent the diversity of Germany since the break up of its many kingdoms each town basically had a different style

Poland: the diversity between each building gave its own style to each building built during the pre-Romanesque time period

NORTHERN

The Unique Meeting Places

Notodden, Norway: Heddal stave church is the biggest stave church in Norway the wood paneling was created to keep the cold air out

Hillerød, Denmark: Frederiksborg Castle, home to one of the longest monarchies now a museum of art still a beautiful place

EASTERN

The Colorful Churches

Moscow, Russia: shows the creativity of the Russian people a Christian Church now a museum known as St. Basil’s Church

Kiev, Ukraine: St. Andrew’s Church is an Eastern Orthodox Church painted the bright colors of the east

WESTERN

The Unbelievable Landmarks

Paris, France: the Eiffel Tower was originally built as an entrance to the 1889 World Fair when it was first built it was often criticized but now is a landmark of France

London, United Kingdom: located in the Elizabeth tower it was the most accurate four-face clock in the world when it was built

Europe’s regions are highly diverse from one another especially in architecture. Since the architecture needs to change according to the environment. So the northern regions has sturdy walls than southern to deal with snow and the cold. Europe is a highly varied continent.
