DAY TWO LONDON, ENGLAND

  • Big Ben is 157 years old.
  • Big Ben is 320 feet tall.
  • Big Ben isn't the name of the tower it is the name of the bell inside. It was designed by Augustus Pugin.
  • After the fire Big Ben was commissioned with the Palace of Westminster.

TRIP ON CHUNNEL TO PARIS

  • The Chunnel is a underwater tunnel that you can ride a train through.
  • carries any automobile to London from Paris.
  • It cost £49 for a single trip.
  • It is about a 35 minute ride.
  • The completion date was 1994 it cost 21 billion. It is 31 miles long.

  • The Eiffel Tower is 986 feet.

DAY 4 ROME ITALY

  • The history of the colosseum.
  • Built in 70 A.D
  • Has been the site of celebrations, sporting events and bloodshed.
  • Vespasian’s Titus opened the Colosseum officially known as the Flavian Amphitheater with 100 days of games
  • They used it for four centuries.

  • Intresting facts about the colossuem.
  • about 500,000 people died in the colossuem
  • one million wild animals died in the colosseum.

DAY 5 SPAIN BARCELONA

  • Barcelona Cathedral- it is one of the biggest religious buildings.
  • The cathedral is certainly one of the finest Gothic buildings in Barcelona
  • It stands at the Pla de la Seu

DAY 6 MILAN ITALY

  • Sforza Castle
  • Sforza Castle is a castle in Milan, northern Italy.
  • It was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan.
  • It is 563 years old

DAY 7 BERLIN GERMANY

  • Berlin wall
  • The Berlin Wall was a barrier that existed from 1961 through 1989
  • During the Cold war west berlin was a geographical loophole.
  • Eastern germany fled to democratioc west.
  • In response communist eastern germany built a wall.
