DAY 1, TRAVELING TO EUROPE

THE DAY WE LEFT

  • I had to pay $1,000 for the trip.
  • The hotel we stayed at is St. Martins lane
  • It took us 10h and 48m with only 1 stop
  • I left 12-1-15 from St. Louis
  • I flew delta
  • I departed (left) at 3:42 pm and arrived at 8:30 am the next day

DAY 2, ENGLAND

FAMOUS PEICES IN LONDON

  • Big Ben is a 156 year old clock tower located in London England
  • Big Ben is high up as 316 ft.

DAY 3, PARIS

FRANCE

  • The Eiffel Tower is approximately 984 ft. tall
  • The Eiffel Tower was the main exhibit of the Paris exposition of 1889
  • The Eiffel Tower is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel

DAY 4, GOING TO ROME

THE GREAT HISTORY BEHIND ITALY

  • The colosseum was built as a fighting arena for the Roman Empire and other Romans to train for future battles
  • The ancient creators of the colosseum is Titus and Vespasian
  • Another interesting fact about the colosseum is it was built in the center of Rome, Italy

DAY 5 GOING TO BERLIN

  • Berlin is the capital of Germany
  • The Berlin Wall was built 8-13-61 and fell in 11-9-89
  • In Berlin they have a theater called the Fear Factory
  • Berlin's cultural center dates back all the way to the 13th Century
  • In 1933, the nazis under Adolf Hitler took over Germany

DAY 6, TRAVELING TO VENICE

  • Venice is known for its bridges. There are 417 bridges in Venice and 72 of those are private.
  • Venice has one of the narrowest streets in the world. Calletta, or Ramo Varisco street, is only 53 cm wide.
  • Canals were the main communication groups in Venice
  • There are 177 canals here.

DAY 7, BUDAPEST

  • In 1686, Buda and Pest are re-conquered from the Turks with Habsburg leadership
  • In 1970-72, Construction of the East-Western Subway line (M2) begins.
  • Literally, since Budapest has more thermal springs than any other capital city in the world.
  • Budapest is home to the third largest Parliament building in the world

DAY 8, LEAVING BUDAPEST AND RETURNING HOME

  • All in all, this Europe vacation has been pretty fun, been to Paris, London, Rome, Budapest, Venice and so much other famous places
