A scandal where burglars were caught wiretapping phones and stealing documents belonging to democrats. the burglars were connected to president Richard nixon. Nixon proceeded to resign.
Iran hostage crisis
Sixty six american diplomats were held hostage for 444 days by a group of Iranian students. Presidents jimmy carter and Ronald Reagan were involved.
Iran-contra affair
A political scandal in which senior administration officials secretly facilitated the sale of arms to Iran in hopes that the arms would secure the release of us hostages. President Ronald reagan was involved.
Camp David accords
The Egyptian president and israeli prime minister signed the camp David accords that led to the Egypt-israel peace treaty. The signing was witnessed by president jimmy carter.
Persian gulf war
War that started after saddam hussein of iraq invaded and occupied kuwait. The united states then intervened and drove iraqi forces out of kuwait. President george h.w. Bush was involved.
Balkan crisis 1990's
After soviet russia fell apart, yugoslavia split in to different countries that all declared independence. Serbia invaded in order to maintain the former republic together. The un was later involved and a peace treaty was signed. Presidents george hw bush, and bill clinton were involved.
Hurricane katrina
A category 5 hurricane that devastated states along the gulf coast in 2005. Cost $108 billion in damages and killed around 1,800 civilians. George w. Bush was president at the time.
9/11
On september 11, 2001, two planes crashed in to the twin towers in new york in an act of terrorism by al-qaeda. This happened during george w. Bush's presidency.

Peace agreement between bosnia, croatia, and serbian that ended the was in bosnia. Bill clinton was president at the time.
Election of 2000
Controversial election between al gore and george w. Bush. Florida was the decisive state, bush won florida by 537 votes thus winning the election. Many demanded a recount, but it was stopped by the supreme court. This was the first time a president lost the popular vote, but won the electoral vote.
