1770-1773

The Boston Massacre
In 1770 the king send soldiers to the colonies to keep the peace between England and the colonies.On March 3,1770 a group of colonists started to taunt and beat a soldier Hugh Montgomery. Montgomery shouted for help and minutes later Captain Thomas Preston arrived with other soldiers. As the crowed grew bigger a solider thought he heard Preston say fire. Other soldiers fired and seconds later 5 were dead including Crispus Attacks an African sailor. Across the country outrage spreads as people hear of the massacre.
