Hard candies with lemon and mint flavors
Were popular in the early 19th century.
But the discovery of milk chocolate in Switzerland
(1875) is what made the chocolate bar so popular in
America.

So in short, candy throughout the years Has changed quite a bit
and there are still Many small details that I haven't mentioned
but One of the most significant points of candy history
was when the 1851 great exhibition in London decided to display
