EVOLUTION AND CREATION

AGE OF THE EARTH

• Evolution says: 4.5 billion years
• Creation says: about 6000 years.

SUN AND STARS

• Evolution says: formed by a nebula.
• Nebula- a cloud of gas and dust in a space.
• Creation says: Genesis 1:3
• God created a day and night.
• Sun for day and the stars for night.

PLANETS

• Evolution says:
• Things such as dust started colliding and stuck together.
• Creation says: Genesis 1:1
• "God created the heavens and the earth"

ORIGIN OF LIFE

• Evolution says:
• There was warm weather and many earthquakes and volcanic explosions.
• The weather caused the chemicals to all combine which made DNA, lipids, proteins, ect.
• Creation says: Genesis 1:20
• God created all the living animals and creatures according to their kind.

ORDER OF ORGANISMS

• Evolution says: bacteria, simple cells, complex cells, multicellular life...
• Then to simple animals, fish, land plants, insects and seeds, amphibians...
• Then to reptiles, mammals, birds, flowers, "great apes" , then last humans.
• Creation says: 3rd day- dry land and sea vegetation.
• 5th day- living water creatures and birds; 6th day- land animals and humans.

GREAT FLOOD

• Evolution says:
• Tectonic plates stretched and caused magma to rise out of the ground and into the ocean.
• There are marine fossils everywhere, leading one to believe everything was once under water.
• Creation says: Genesis 7:11-24
• It rained 40 days and 40 nights and water prevailed and covered everything.

ANIMALS ON THE ARK

• Evolution says:
• It's physically impossible.
• Creation says: Genesis 7:14-16
• Noah built an ark for two kinds of every animal for the great flood.

FOSSIL RECORD

• Evolutions says:
• Fossils keep records of transition from animal to animal.
• Simple organisms are found towards the bottom and more complex found at the top.
• Creation says:
• During the flood, more dense animals settle to the bottom and the less dense are towards the top.

VESTIGIAL ORGANS

• Evolution says:
• The function of vestigial organs function was lost during evolution.
• Creation says:
• God made everything for a reason, so therefore everything has a function.

HOMOLOGOUS ORGANS

• Evolution says:
• Homologous organs all have the same ancestor.
• They have the same structure but different functions.
• Creation says:
• Looking the same doesn't mean it has the same ancestors, therefore there isn't proof of evolution.

ANALOGOUS ORGANS

• Evolution says:
• Organs with the same functions but different structures.
• Analogous organs have the same ancestor.
• Creation says:
• Doing the same thing doesn't mean they have the same ancestor, therefore there is no proof of evolution.

GEOGRAPHY

• Evolution says:
• There are similar animals that can and have been found all over the world.
• Creation says:
• It had not rained before the flood so the geography had to be different.

EMBRYOLOGY

• Evolution says:
• The development embryos go through show the evolutionary development of the species.
• Creation says: psalms 139:13
• "God knitted the womb"

QUESTIONS

• Why is it hard to prove or disprove evolution or creation?
• Theres no hard and actual definite proof in either one so you have to have faith in one that you think is right.
• Why can Christians not believe in evolution?
• Because Christians believe God created everything and evolutionists believe there is no God.
