JOSIAH THE PROPHET

• They say he was Judah's last gasp of hope because he was the last good thing to happen to the Israelites before the kingdom was taken over
• He became king at age eight
• He was against idolatry

One day Josiah and his men were rebuilding one of the Lord's temples and as they were cleaning they came upon a book. It was the Bible. Josiah started to read it and once he was finished he felt him and his people have gone against the covenant of the Lord. Then he went on a program to wipe out pagan worshiping and to renew the ancient covenant of the Lord.

When Josiah was 39 in his 31st year as king the Egyptian Army was going to attack a site on the Euphrates River but to get there they had to go through Judah. Josiah refused to let this unknown army through. Josiah then took a stand and defended his borders. And sadly he was killed in battle and his son followed and took Josiah's throne and his name was Jehoahoz.

Modern day version of Josiah is Malala. I believe he is like Malala because they both promote their religions in a positive way and they both stand their ground for what they believe is right.
