SUICIDE
- Suicide can be sever and far reaching, it can have devastating effects on family members and loved ones of a person that committed suicide.
DeCISIONS
- If a member of your family committed suicide, don't hesitate to seek help.
- Talk to each other about what happened.
- Don't blame yourself for what happened.

Many suicides attempts are brought on by interpersonal conflict.
In a Canadian study, parents who lost a child to suicide typically have higher rates of depression, physical problems and low income (often even before the child's suicide).
EFFECTS FROM SUICIDE
- Extreme guilt for not preventing
- Anger or resentment towards that person
- Confusion
- Failure: because the person felt unloved

The consequences of suicide are not just that one person is dead. That a precious life has ended. It's also a tragedy of epic proportions for the people left behind.
Suicide rates are at highest in old age. 20% of the population, 40% of suicide victims are over 60. After age 75, the rate is three times higher than average.
